Does your child love horses?
At First Field Farm Summer Camp, your child will learn the basics about how to care for, ride and have fun with horses and ponies! We offer two levels of camp, geared for different ages and levels of riding! Schedules for Full Day Camp and Mini camp are based on sign ups/interest and subject to change.
Full Day Camp: Ages 6-13
-1 hour riding lesson per day aboard our safe, reliable school horses or ponies.
-1 hour learning activity about horses!
-1 hour arts and crafts!
-Hands on horse time! Your camper will spend at least 1 hour each day learning how to properly care for their horse or pony.
-Camp Horse Show! Each Friday, our campers will demonstrate their new skills in a Camp Horse Show! Parents, Friends and family members are encouraged to attend! Upon completion, your camper will receive a Ribbon and Certificate!
Typical Camp Day:
9:30am: Camp Starts
10:00am-10:30am: Tacking Up Horses
10:30am-11:30am: Riding Lesson
11:30am-12:00pm: Untacking/Putting horses away
12:00pm-1:00pm: Lunch
1:00pm-2:00pm: Classroom lesson on horse breeds and colors with arts and crafts!
2:00pm-2:30pm: Horse breed/color walk
2:30pm-3:30pm: Give Jack the pony a bath!
Mini Camp: Ages 5-10
Mini camp is a 3.5 hour half day camp, geared towards our younger students. We still provide all the same fun actives and riding lesson, but in a shorter time frame for students that might find our full day camps too long. Mini camp is also great for kids that have other activities planned in the afternoon.
-30-45 minute riding lesson on our safe, reliable school horses and ponies
-1 hour of learning to groom/tack and untack the ponies
-45 minute learning activity about horses and ponies!
-45 minute arts and crafts activity!
-Mini horse show on Friday to demonstrate our new skills. Students will receive a ribbon and certificate.
Typical Mini Camp Day:
9:00am: Camp Starts
9:00-9:30am: Grooming/Tacking up our ponies
9:30-10:15am: Riding lesson
10:15-10:45am Grooming/Untacking our ponies
10:45-11:30: Learning activity
11:30-11:45: Snack time
11:45-12:30: Arts and Crafts activity
